About this collection

This collection in progress brings together freely available online cookbooks and works on gastronomy from Latin America. The majority of these books were made digitally available by the government ministries and secretariats supporting their publication; others were provided directly by the publishers. This site is the first place where they are easily available side by side, organized by country and local region.

The project comes out of previous research into the discoverability of online books from Latin America, which may be accessed here:
